A mother's love is peace
A mother's love, is that universal encouragement that gives power to the hope that we need in this country and the world beyond to move forward, to reach higher, and to live BETTER.
song for you ... and a blog😊
🎶"Show me a river that's so deep Show me a mountain so high I'll show you love that'll last forever Flying high, so high Ah, show me a place where dreams are for dreamers
"Let go, or be dragged."
Good Sunday morning, or at least it was when I started writing this blog🤣, my beloved family, friends, neighbors, and others...
🎶"It's a beautiful morning, ah
I think I'll go outside for a while and just smile Just take in some clean fresh air, boy (Ain't) no sense in staying inside If the weather's fine and you got the time It's your chance to wake up and plan a whole new day It's a beautiful morning, ah
DOING is better
Dear, sweet, precious, and beautiful souls, I wish you, each and every one of you, and all of your loved ones, beautiful responses to all of your most cherished hopes and dreams. I do. I will be confounded until the day that I absent this mixed-bag merry-go-round of a life that we all share with one another, about the ugliness that we must sometimes endure in a world that is fully inundated with religions and belief systems that ALL point to love as the ultimate guidepost.
With love❤️
Good, sweet, and precious people, I wish you, today and always, an unbroken line of reasons to smile. I wish you also and as well, love, joy, peace, prosperity, and sooooul😎 (for that last one, I thank the late Don Cornelius of Soul Train fame😊).
My Heart to Yours
Today, I stepped away from my post😊at MY and Hiram Arvada Haskin's "well-appointed" park and sanctuary that I might recalibrate myself in an attempt to keep up with life's ever-changing mood and its ability to change the "direction of the wind" on a whim.
Special Message
For some reason, seeing her in the "moment of my re-awakening," reminded me of the "wonderful" that I reside in, every single day of my life. It reminded me, seriously, of ALL of the beautiful, gifted, and talented people, all of the loving, caring, and giving people, near and far, that I am blessed to "rub shoulders with" on a daily basis.
I Think We Can
Good Monday morning, good, sweet, and precious people🌞❤️. David Smith: in Washington: "donald trump has been condemned as a "vile, disgusting man " and a "sick human being" after gloating over the death of Robert Mueller, a former director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)."You can NOT make this kind of stuff up. You simply, CAN'T.
A Secret
I am "late" getting out today's blog, because as I was writing it originally, I realized that everyone including myself is tired of, talking about, at least in this moment, "America's detritus." It seems, in these times of great stress for the average THINKING citizen of this potentially great country, that a new "tragedy" is born every 10 minutes.
Like a comet
I wish you, this morning, the ability to know in your heart of hearts, that tomorrow never comes and that each of us has only this moment to get to the business of living our lives intentionally. Shunryu Suzuki was on to something when he constructed this quote: "Treat every moment as your last. It is not preparation for something else."
One of My Hardest Lessons
I wish you a great morning, and for those of you in my Village of Five Parks community and surrounding areas ... Happy Snow Day! It may not be much and it may not be enough, but it is, nonetheless, most appreciated. Water, like the air that we breathe is essential to our ability to survive, yeah?🙄
I would still plant my apple tree
"Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree. - Martin Luther Good people of my "near and far" community," I wish you, each and all, the ability to "see and seize" the beauty of the moment.
Washington
In spite of the "lead-in" to today's blog, I want you to know that I am committed as ever to the sweeter sounds of love - doing, being, and leading with. I am not a crusader, I am merely a concerned citizen of a country, OURS, listing in the winds of a storm created by a veritable mad"man" [sic]. A nefarious, self-centered, convicted felon, serial abuser ... of a mad"man." I'm especially concerned for the babies, the children, and the young adults. In fact, I am as well, concerned for you, me, them, and us.
time for the ages.
My friends, the music of my weekend almost completely drowned out the cacophony of chaos that exits "today and right now" in our very disheveled country. But I want to share with you some very "personal remedy" for the "sounds of madness" that no one can avoid hearing on an even daily basis, a remedy that took up two-thirds of my weekend, if you count Friday.

This has been a strange winter, for me, in the sense that I have, for various weather related reasons, had to stay closed, more than I'd like to, Howard's Dog and Puppy Treats Emporium. Sure, revenues are down, but money comes and money goes. What I miss most about missing time in MY and Hiram Arvada Haskin's beautiful and tranquil park and sanctuary is the "splendid chaos" delivered my way on the wings of the abundant smiles and laughter of both my two and four-legged constituents and customers, respectively.
Isaiah 11:6
Good morning/afternoon, my family, my friends, and my neighbors, Today, I wish you the eyes, ears, heart and understanding of a Child. Please allow me poetic license for choosing the scripture/quote that I have chosen as a gateway to and for today's blog.
The rest of the song
Today, inspired by a conversation that I had with the wonderful gentleman who delivers my oxygen on a weekly basis, concerning his heavy heart over losing his furry friend and companion, I dedicate the gateway words/song and the blog following to ALL of the beloved people and pets who have passed on from sharing air, space, and time with us😪 and crossed the rainbow bridge to a place far away, "star far away," but not too far away😊.
In the Dark
🎶"When someone in the dark reaches out to you And touches off a spark that comes shining through It tells you, never be afraid Then somewhere in your heart, you can feel the glow A light to keep you warm when the night winds blow Like it was written in the stars, I knew My friend, my someone in the dark was you ... ."🎶

It was wonderful in LARGE part for the many and varied wonderful people that I have in my life. Some of whom I heard from on my day, but ALL of whom I thought about on that same "my day." Our country is currently being tossed on the horns of some exceedingly poor judgement on the part of some of our wicked-effette "leadership," and poor behavior on the part of some of our citizenry. Almost every day, I wake up with a bad taste in my mouth and a mind that needs the windows full-open so that it might be refreshed for all of the skullduggery that our country suffers from on a daily basis.
A Mother's Love
... Whether you win the trophy or not, and whether or not you win or lose in the playoffs - if there is one thought I want to leave you with, it's this: Your accomplishments will NEVER impact how proud of you I am. Because you are already everything I could have hoped for as a mother
With Love
"I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that ALL men are created equal."
Zen
"Zen is a liberation from time. For if we open our eyes and see clearly, it becomes obvious that there is no other time than this instant, and that the past and the future are abstractions without any concrete reality."
Chop Wood, Carry Water
I hope that your day, so far, has been good to your purpose. I hope that the rest of your day is, at least, just as good.

Christmas song
It's that time of year🎄, again, when we are reminded of what we should embrace, life and each other, year round and for the "whole of our experience on this earth, in this world." I first heard this song, "Give Love on Christmas Day," as sung by the Jackson Five, years and years🙄ago. It is one of my very favorite songs for the simple beauty of its lyrics; for its heart.
The mind
"The mind of the beginner is empty, free of the habits of the expert, ready to accept, to doubt, and open to all the possibiities." - Shunryu Suzuki
