🎶"Like a comet
Blazing cross the evening sky
Gone too soon
Like a rainbow
Fading in the twinkling of an eye
Gone too soon
Shiny and sparkly
And splendidly bright
Here one day
Gone one night
Like the loss of sunlight
On a cloudy afternoon
Gone too soon
Like a castle
Built upon a sandy beach
Gone too soon
Like a perfect flower
That is just beyond your reach
Gone too soon
Born to amuse, to inspire, to delight
Here one day
Gone one night
Like a sunset
Dying with the rising of the moon
Gone too soon
Gone too soon"🎶
- The late Michael Jackson 1991
Good people,
I wish you, this morning, the ability to know in your heart of hearts, that tomorrow never comes and that each of us has only this moment to get to the business of living our lives intentionally.
Shunryu Suzuki was on to something when he constructed this quote:
"Treat every moment as your last. It is not preparation for something else."
We are living in times, in this country, that are disturbing to say the least, and that would be the VERY least.
Our present "leadership," is, for his attempt to carve a legacy out of more negative chicanery than can be contained in this too small space, making of the body of this country, the collective you, me, them, and us, an unstoppable "freight train to hell."
There are many, many people who are now captured in the throes of a massive regret for having voted for this "creature" dropped from the womb of Satan's third wife, into office. Spare me the tears, and then tell me in 25 words or less, why you voted him into office in the first place.
Be careful in the telling of your reasoning as it may expose you to just having desired someone else to be the author of the garbage YOU believed in, but did not want to get your hands dirty by being upfront in your desire to be a part of writing this sequel to Hitler's Germany. Only now, Hitler Junior's mad-trek through America is affecting YOU. Be careful of the ugly that you wish for others as that same ugly may show its hideous face on your doorstep and then, "what to do, what to do," yeah?
"Shiny and sparkly
And splendidly bright
Here one day
Gone one night."
That speaks brilliantly to the POSSIBILITIES of "yester-America," an America since dumptrucked by a narcissistic, convicted felon, racist ... and "serial abuser." Don't cringe even if you don't actually believe that truth, it's not mine, it's his.
But I digress.
The gateway quote/song/words to today's attempt at a blog😊 do, metaphorically, speak to our losses since the "rise of the trump," but they also speak to the the "brevity of time," and for me, the importance of celebrating every good, worthy ... and amazing thing, in the form of people, places, and things, but ESPECIALLY people that we are blessed with over the course of our lives.
I see much unhappiness in the faces and actions of people who are tormented over the future of this country, for ALL of us, but ESPECIALLY for the young people of our country.
That is why we must stay hope affixed to our concerns for this America, OUR America, and why we must continue "the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness ..." for ALL Americans.
No matter the size and strength of the opposition to that same life, liberty and happiness, we must continue to press on, to and for the benefit of every single man, woman, boy, and girl in our country and in fact, those outside of our country and around the world. Because let's face it, when "we're" better, "they're" better, right?
Pipe dream, maybe, but I'd like to see everyone at the party, that may come at the very end of a collective effort to see this world all the way to "BETTER."
How 'bout you?
I am a fan of perfection, something that I KNOW that I'll never see in myself, but something that we can, with poetic license permitted,😊make of our country and world.
Hey, I wish for you, you ... and you, every good and great thing "under heaven."
Wish me the same back, and we are well on our way to making a lemon, into a splendid lemonade!
Have your best day and always remember to never forget to keep hope alive while issuing forth with the mantra, "I think we, can, I think we can ... I think we can
."
Much love and many blessings
❤️🙏.
