A resounding thank you to

Mason, Ella, Caleb, Ruby,

Jane, Jane, Cade, Heather, The Haskin Park Codgers, and Rowdy๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ˜Š ... .

Good Sunday afternoon, Precious People๐Ÿฅฐ!

I wish you, each one of you, and all of those beloved to your day, your life, and your purpose, an uninterrupted stream of"good, better, and best"

๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿซถ๐ŸŽ‰.

My friends, the music of my weekend almost completely drowned out the cacophony of chaos that exits "today and right now" in our very disheveled country.

But I want to share with you some very "personal remedy" for the "sounds of madness" that no one can avoid hearing on an even daily basis, a remedy that took up two-thirds of my weekend, if you count Friday.

To wit:

On Friday evening, I met with, Jane, Cade, Mason, Ella!๐Ÿ˜Š, Ruby and Caleb, for a celebration of Mason's birthday, and as it surprisingly turned out, mine too!๐Ÿค—

At this gathering, I along with my buddy Jane, had the GURRREAT pleasure and privilege of meeting Ruby, Mason's too lovely and beautiful, inside and out๐Ÿฅฐ, girlfriend, and Caleb, a young man who I will NEVER forget for his WONDERFUL "manner," and Mason's best friend! Our meal at Red Robin's might as well have been served at a 5-star restaurant for the "seasoning" that came with the people in attendance.

All of the individuals in our small gathering contributed to a "time for the ages."

As I've told many people, by now, in my life I've had many "times," but truly none better than the one that I had in that "special moment in time."

Jane, Jane, and Cade provided an impeccable supporting "landscape"to our joyful proceedings. I concentrate, here, on the young people, including the iconic Mason, and the inimitable Ella!๐Ÿ˜Š for the hopeful and joyful possibilities that we can look forward to for the future, mine, yours, ours, and theirs.

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of gathering with the Haskin Park Codgers for our monthly, "Breakfast at Jack's."

A better group of men one would be hard-pressed to find. I mean INTENTIONALLY loving, caring, strong and extremely intelligent gentlemen.

Nothing makes a good breakfast better than breaking bread with buddies. A priceless experience to be sure.

Later on Saturday, Jane and I had the great pleasure of watching Rowdy๐Ÿถ the incomparable "rescue pup." He was so well-behaved and affectionate.

At one point, in his few hours spent with us, he found his peace on my lap. In his sweet calm I found my peace, enough to, for a few minutes, fall asleep.

And, finally, as if to bring a closing ceremony to our "Olympics of good feelings," our neighbor stopped by armed with goodies and a sweet soul that

brightened our residence with the kind of shine that "stays and stays."

Talk about a "remedy for the ages" to our country's current craziness - good times and laughter with good people - I daresay, I might have had the market cornered on this very life-giving weekend.

Here's the thing, "rescue" is available to our "sense and sensibility" if we will but take a deep breath, and open our arms to all of the "silent and waiting" possibilities." Feel me?"

Let us celebrate our lives and the living of the same by staying available, for all of our sakes, to the notion of leading with and being led by, love.

A special note: I consider love an antidote to every "venomous bite" hiding in the tall grass and in the badlands of our life, because I experienced that love in the few years that I was blessed to have Joyce, having my back.

"I think we can, I think we can ... ."

And finally, because it rang so true to the ears of my heart:

"Those who CLING (my upper case) to perceptions and views, wander the world offending people."

Wishing you love, peace, happiness, and understanding, I am your friend, Joyce's boy, aka "Fast Binky."๐Ÿ™„
